Da Costa – a stallion of very special style. This typey son of Dimaggio captivates with a lot of charm and a willingness to perform that makes the rider’s heart beat faster. Not only his expressive and dynamic basic gaits, but also his pedigree suggest the best riding characteristics. This expressive youngster has a positive attitude to always work. His father Dimaggio was fourth at the Bundeschampionat and in 2000 even world champion of five-year-old dressage horses. Dam sire Coriander is not only known as an excellent dressage horse sire, but was himself highly successful up to the heavy class. He won his first Grand Prix at the age of seven. In the third generation, the coveted thoroughbred connection can be found through Amigo xx. His dam´s sire, Coriander was an excellent sport horse and shows the potential to win his first Grand Prix at the age of seven.

Spurred on by his father’s successes, Da Costa also showed his qualities in sport. In his sports test in March 2018, he convinced the judges and the expert audience alike and received dream marks: Trot 9.0 Gallop 9.0 Step 7.8 Rideability 9.0 Overall impression 9.0 Dressage-oriented final mark 8.76. Victories and placings followed in the tournament season in dressage horse tests up to class L. In 2018, Da Costa qualified quite confidently for the Bundeschampionat and also in 2019 he solved the ticket to the Bundeschampionat with the victory in the dressage horse eprfg. Kl. M at the international tournament in Verden. In Warendorf itself, he excelled in the qualifications and finished the Bundeschampionat in fourth place in the grand final. In 2020 Da Costa dared to step into the difficult class and also here it went fantastically – One start and directly one placement! Meanwhile, Da Costa is serial winner in the heavy class. Also in the tournament series of the Nuremberg Burgpokal he left no doubt about his quality open and secured with 73.220% and the victory in Verden one of the coveted tickets for the final in the Frankfurt Festhalle in December 2022. And also in Frankfurt in the final of the Nuremberg Burgpokal Da Costa presented himself fantastic, turned two great laps and gave an idea of what potential he still has.
