Concetto Famos

Description

After a highly successful career in international show jumping under Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum, Concetto Famos can also look back on a career in breeding just as impressive. Two of his sons were licensed. The first young stallion, licensed in Westphalia, was sold at an auction for 100,000 Euros. The second, Cobra, was a premium stallion at the Southern German Hengsttage and changed hands for 50,000 Euros. Concetto Famos is also the sire of three State Premium mares.

In 2009 as well, several Concetto offspring qualified for the Bundeschampionat in classes for show jumpers in Warendorf. Successful up to medium (M*) level in show jumping are Concetto son/Hilmar Meyer, Cornetto/Joachim Heyer, Campitello/ Manuela Lachnit and Con Palermo, who placed in the Bundeschampionat Final and was then sold for a high price at the P.S.I. auction. His Holstein sire, Caletto I, won team bronze at the 1983 EC in Hickstead/GBR under Dr. Michael Rüping. His Danish bred dam, St.Pr.St. Sif, is a great granddaughter of the trademark stallion, Ramiro, through Racot. In the third generation you find the Trakehner stallion, Isländer, from the famous Isola Longa family.
