Again and again, Check In underpins impressively not only his competitiveness, but also his heredity power. In 2012, his daughter, Con Leche, became OS-Champion Mare, receiving 9.5 for free-jumping. In 2011, Checcolina reached the Oldenburg Brillantring. Four other daughters received the state premium.
Another son of Check In, named Heinsgårdens Christa, was licensed in the Danish Herning in 2013. And Checkland was shown on the premium ring among the best of the year. In 2014, a stallion out of an Argentinus mare was approved for breeding in Redefin.
Numerous offspring of Check In achieved successes in tests for young show jumpers according to their age. One of them was Captain Morgan, who placed in the 2013′ Oldenburg Championship. Confosco, stationed at state stud Saxony-Anhalt, placed himself in the final of the Bundeschampionat for five-year old show jumpers in 2013. Meanwhile, he added many victories in series in intermediate level tests for young show jumpers. In 2014, Chewbacca competed in the final of the Bundeschampionat for six-year old show jumpers. Coralin, from Check In’s first crop, could already achieve victories and placings in international advanced (S*) level show jumpings at the age of seven in 2014.
Check In begun his career as OS Reserve Champion Stallion and received the I-b main premium in 2007 due to the high quality of his first foal crop. In 2008, he qualified with a score of 9.2 for the Bundeschampionat and collected under Gilbert Böckmann international winnings up to advanced (S***) level show jumpings including a seventh place in the Grand Prix of Verden as well as high placings in Oliva/ESP, Spangenberg, Redefin, Verden, Neumünster and Damme.
His sire, Cordalmé Z, who died in 2010 at the age of 24, is like his son Check In a product of Böckmann’s breeding. Under Gilbert Böckmann he collected victories in Nations Cups. Among the flock of his 13 licensed sons, Couleur Rubin/Ludger Beerbaum stands out with his achievements in World Cups. With Careful and Casper he presented even two Olympic participants for Sydney/AUS in 2000 and Athens/GRE in 2004.
The elegant dam Ilonka (sport name: Lila) competed in the final of the 2005′ Bundeschampionat and won advanced (S*) level show jumpings under Gilbert Böckmann.
The dam’s sire, Lord Pezi, bred also in Hamstrup and produced an entire “air fleet” including Lord Spezi/Margie Engle Goldstein/USA, Louis and Pezi/both Beat Mändli/SUI, Luzifer/Linn Zakariasson/SWE, Lariccello/Helen McNaught/GBR and Londinium/ Lillie Keenan/USA. The OS Premium Stallion Lord Pezi Junior, who is one of his 14 licensed sons, is also stationed in Hamstrup.
The granddam Ila (sport name: i-Tüpfelchen) competed up to intermediate (M) level show jumpings. The great granddam, Gilana (sport name: Böckmann’s Lady Liberty), placed internationally under Malin Baryard Johnsson/SWE. In breeding, Gilana produced the licensed stallion Caravazzo and intermediate (M) level show jumper Chuck (both by Cordalmé Z).
The successes of the dam line are impressive. This line also produced the licensed stallions Corghano (by Cordalmé Z), First Gotthard, Fürstengold, Fürstenstolz, Granit, Ingold, Polygraf, Rincon Furioso, Rufurstinels, Weißdorn and Kasimir van Schuttershof/Philippe Lejeune/BEL. Hardly ever before has a stallion had so much performance-tested jumping talent on the dam’s side and passed it on with his chic.
