Check In consistently and impressively demonstrates not only his own performance, but also his ability to pass on his genetic power. In 2012, he produced Con Leche, the champion mare of the Oldenburg-International (OS) Show Jumping Horse Breeders’ Association, who received a 9.5 for her free jumping. In 2011, Checcolina competed at the Oldenburg Brillantring. Four other daughters received state premiums.

Another Check In son, Heinsgårdens Christa, was licensed in Herning, Denmark, in 2013. Checkland competed in the premium ring for the best of his year. In 2014, a stallion out of an Argentinus dam also received breeding approval in Redefin.

Numerous Check In offspring have achieved success in age-appropriate show jumping competitions. Captain Morgen, for example, placed at the Oldenburg State Championships in 2013. Colfosco, based at the Saxony-Anhalt State Stud, placed in the 2013 Federal Championships final for five-year-olds in Warendorf. He has since racked up a string of victories in show jumping competitions up to medium level. In 2014, Chewbacca reached the final of the Federal Championships for six-year-old show jumping horses. Coralin, from Check In’s first crop, achieved victories and placings in international advanced (S*) level show jumping competitions at the age of seven in 2014.

Check In began his career as OS Reserve Champion Stallion and was crowned Ib Main Premium Winner in 2007 for the quality of his first foal crop. In 2008, he qualified for the Bundeschampionat with a score of 9.2 and, with Gilbert Böckmann, achieved international victories up to S*** level show jumping, including seventh place in the Verden Grand Prix and several good placings in Oliva/ESP, Spangenberg, Redefin, Verden, Neumünster, and Damme. Samantha McIntosh has been riding Check In for several years. Together, they have already celebrated numerous international successes. In 2019, the pair qualified for the New Zealand team for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

His sire, Cordalmé Z, who died in 2010 at the age of 24, was, like his son Check In, bred by Böckmann. Under Gilbert Böckmann, he garnered victories in Nations Cups. Among his 13 licensed sons, the World Cup-winning Couleur Rubin/Ludger Beerbaum stands out. He produced two Olympic participants, Careful and Casper, for Sydney/AUS 2000 and Athens/GRE 2004.

His elegant dam, Ilonka (sports name: Lila), competed in the 2005 Bundeschampionat final and won show jumping competitions up to S* level under Gilbert Böckmann. Ilonka is also the father of our young sire, Checkter, who has already caused a sensation with his performances at a young age.

Dam’s sire, Lord Pezi, also bred in Hamstrup and, with the tenth-place finisher Louis at the European Championships, produced a whole fleet of stallions: Lord Spezi/Margie Engle Goldstein/USA, Louis and Pezi/both Beat Mändli/SUI, Luzifer/Linn Zakariasson/SWE, Lariccello/Helen McNaught/GBR, and Londinium/Lillie Keenan/USA. Of his 14 licensed sons, the OS premium stallion Lord Pezi Junior was also bred in Hamstrup.

Her granddam, Ila (sporting name: i-Tüpfelchen), competed up to medium (M) level show jumping. Her great-granddam, Gilana (sporting name: Böckmann’s Lady Liberty), placed in international show jumping competitions under Malin Baryard Johnsson/SWE, among others. Used as a broodmare, Gilana produced the licensed stallion Caravazzo and the medium (M) level show jumper Chuck (both by Cordalmé Z).

The successes of the dam’s line are impressive. The line has produced the licensed stallions Corghano (by Cordalmé Z), First Gotthard, Fürstengold, Fürstenstolz, Granit, Ingold, Polygraf, Rincon Furioso, Rufurstinels, Weißdorn, and Kasimir van Schuttershof/Philippe Lejeune/BEL. Rarely does a stallion have so much performance-proven jumping potential on his dam’s side, and he passes this on with his chic demeanor.
