Brilliant start as sire
Zenon came up with terrific first crops of foals. He himself completed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 2017 with high individual scores and a total of 8.66 as the third best.
The sire Glock’s Zonik N.O.P. won team silver at the European Championships in Rotterdam/NED under Edward Gal/NED and finished eighth and sixth in the Special and Freestyle. Previously, he had also placed eighth in the World Cup final in Gothenburg/SWE and was the best horse of the Dutch team at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon/USA in 2018 with seventh place. With Zucchero OLD (breeding name Zucchero Gold) he produced the World Champion for young dressage horses and German Champion. Fortunately, RS2 OLD, star of the 2017 P.S.I. Auction, won the title in Warendorf in 2019. Among his twelve sons licensed in Germany is still the Oldenburg winner of the saddle licensing, regional champion and third at the German Championships, MDM Zodiac OLD.
The dam’s sire Don Schufro, to whom Zenon is doubly reimbursed, won Olympic team bronze in Hong Kong/HKG under Andreas Helgstrand/DEN. He has left his mark on breeding in the long term. His offspring are led by the Olympic and World Cup winner and European champion Weihegold OLD/Isabell Werth.
The granddam L’actrice is a full sister to the licensed L’Acteur, who was successful up to Inter I.
The Holstein stallion Lorentin I, who is in the third generation, placed under Wolfgang Schade in the Grand Prix arenas of Rotterdam/NED, Saumur/FRA, Hamburg, Oslo/NOR and Braunschweig. Among his licensed sons, the Holstein licensing winner Lusello stands out. Loverboy, one of 40 offspring of Lorentin who were successful at advanced (S) level, belonged to the German dressage squad under Jenny Lang-Nobbe, after victories in Aachen, Salzburg/AUT, Mannheim and Fritzens/AUT.
Through the stallions Raimondo and Roman, who followed in the later generations, the blood of the legendary refiner and line founder Ramzes AA comes to bear in the veins of Zenon.
Zenon has its roots in the Holstein line 4025, from which more than 20 stallions, including Caligula I and II, Cobretti, Lagano, Lancetto, Quality Touch Z, Royal Touch, United Touch, Untouched and Whitesnake emerged, as well as the internationally successful show jumpers Cantate Touch/Ben Schröder/NED and their dam, the Olympic champion Classic Touch/Ludger Beerbaum, Classic Line/Cora Ackermann-Ripke, Lausanne/Breido Graf zu Rantzau and Lavantus.
