Outstanding sire

Vivaldon, premium stallion and initially standing at stud at the Swedish National Stud in Flyinge, where he also took his stallion performance test, is now continuing his career back here in Germany. Ridden by Isabel Fresse, he easily qualified for the German Championships for six-year-old dressage horses with a score of 8.6. This typey stallion, who received a 9.0 for his trot and canter and an 8.5 for his walk, also recorded further victories in intermediate (M) level tests for young dressage horses.

Vivaldon convinced with fantastic first crops of foals. His offspring impress with their sportiness, athleticism and modernity. Dynamics, activity of the back and uphill tendency leave nothing to be desired.

His sire Vivaldi is out of the famous Dutch bloodline, the Utopia line and counts international Grand Prix stallions one after another in his pedigree, such as Krack C/Anky van Grunsven/NED and Jazz/Tineke Bartels/NED. He was Reserve Champion of his stallion performance test in the Netherlands and won the Pavo Cup for five-year-old dressage horses in 2007. In 2008 and 2009, ridden by Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, he won the KNHS/KWPN stallion competition, where he was awarded 10 for his trot. He was then internationally successful up to Prix St. Georges. In 2013, Vivaldi won the VHO trophy at the KWPN licensing. After that, he was predominantly used for breeding and now appears amongst the world’s best dressage sires of the WBFSH ranking (currently 11th).

His dam El.St. Loxandra also produced the licensed stallions Fürst and For Diamonds (both by Fürst Romancier). Her offspring have been placed in competitions for young dressage horses in their age classes.

His dam’s sire Diamond Hit is a half brother of our stallion Sandro Hit and competed in international Grand Prix competitions with Emma Hindle/GBR. He has produced over 70 licensed stallions and 170 premium mares. His offspring, who are successful in sport, are led by Goerklintgaards Dublet/Kasey Perry-Glass, US team WEG silver medallist and Olympic bronze medallist, followed by Hawtins Delicato/Carl Hester/GBR, Doctor/Rebecca Waite/USA, Destiny/Micah Deligdish/ISR, Diamond Star/Sally Rizzuto/AUS, KK Dominant/Gareth Hughes/GBR, Disney Tyme/Evi Strasser/CAN, Den Haag/Isabell Werth, Della Cavalleria OLD/Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT and many others.

His grand-dam St.Pr./El.St. Luandra also produced Loxandra’s full sister Loxana, Oldenburg Champion Mare and participant in the European Championships in Aachen in 2015 with Daniel Bachmann Andersen/DEN. Her half brother Sir Cedric (by Samarant) won competitions up to Inter I and her half sister Lolita (by Landor S) competed in intermediate  (M**) level show jumping classes.

His great-grand-sire Argentinus was a top-quality sport horse producer, which catapulted him to the top of the world’s best jumping sires in the early 2000s. His offspring include Anka/Marcus Ehning, World Cup Champion, Air Jordan Z/Daniel Deußer, World Cup silver medallist, Asti Spumante/Thomas Mühlbauer, European Team Champion, Arko III/Nick Skelton/GBR, tenth at the Olympics, Adlantus As FRH/Lars Nieberg, team fourth at the World Championships, Banda de Hus/Kevin Staut/FRA and Gregory Wathelet/BEL, as well as Azarro/Holger Wulschner, amongst others. Argentinus’ offspring are also highly placed in dressage, such as the European Championship gold medallist Albano/Heike Kemmer, the two-time German Champion Amaretto/Isabell Werth and August der Starke OLD/Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT.

Larinero, Grannus and Ecuador xx complete his pedigree.

Numerous stallions such as Gala Z (by Grannus), Catch Boom Bang (by Cornet’s Prinz), Landius (by Frühling), Casino In (by Casino Royal), Wellington (by Weltmeister) and sport horses, such as fischerSolution (by Carthino Z)/Michael Jung and Quigley (by Quidam’s Rubin)/Kyle King/USA also descend from the Oldenburg line.

His dam is the full sister of Loxana, Oldenburg Champion Mare and successful in Grand Prix
