Here is the second son of a Londonderry/Weltmeyer cross standing at the Celle State Stud. See details on Londondery and Weltmeyer in their sections. The pedigree is a winning combination and Locksley 11’s type is stunning. Londonderry has become very popular not only in the Hanoverian breeding area but far beyond. He won his approval and became Bundeschampion of 4 yo stallions in 1999. 28 of his sons have been approved, among them Liberty Gold, who won his approval and his stallion performance test. Londonderry’s daughter La Perla won the Bundeschampionat for 3 yo riding horses in 2004. The dam, State Premium mare Wildblume also produced the full brothers Locksley 1 (Res Champion of the Hanoverian approval in 2003; successes in tests for young dressage horses) and Locksley 111, who has already been successful in tests for young riding horses. Wildblume stems from Weltmeyer who was successful in the international dressage sport and who is considered as one of the best dressage sires of recent German breeding history.
At his performance test in 2005 Locksley 11 gained seven times 9 for character, temperament, confirmation, willingness to perform, trot, canter and rideability. He was given 8 for walk, 6.3 for free jumping and jumping technique and manner and 7 for cross country. Here is an excellent stallion with great potential and a true representative of the greats in his ancestry. He was winner of his dressage section out of 42 stallions. Locksley 11 was the top lot of the Verden Elite Auction in 2005, and in 2006 won the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championship in Verden and became Bundeschampion of 4 yo stallions. He has 3 licensed sons, 26 state premium mares, 34 auction horses.
