Two-time European Championship team bronze medalist!
Jovian competed twice for the Danish European Championship team under Andreas Helgstrand: in 2023 in Riesenbeck, Germany, and in 2025 in Crozet, France. Both times he returned with the team bronze medal. In Riesenbeck, he also placed twelfth in the Special individual classification. However, due to the country quota, he was no longer eligible to compete in the final freestyle. Jovian entered the spotlight early on. In 2017, he won the Dutch Riding Horse Championships as a three-year-old. In 2018, he was unbeatable at his sport test in Verden/GER with a score of 9.01. He was also awarded premium stallion status at the Danish licensing and secured silver at the Dutch Pavo Cup. In 2019, he won gold at the World Breeding Dressage Championship for five-year-olds. Four of the five characteristics were rated 10. He then went on to win silver at the Danish Championships. In 2021, he became World Breeding Dressage Championship for seven-year-olds (with 95.200 percent). Only because of the cancellation of the 2020 Championships due to the coronavirus pandemic was Jovian unable to defend his title in the six-year-old classification. This would have completed the coveted World Breeding Dressage Championship for Young Horses title triple. In 2022, Jovian made his debut in the Grand Prix class with scores of over 80 percent.
Eighteen sons of Jovian were licensed, including the premium stallions Joshua, Baunehøjens Jackson, and Just Diamond. The latter won silver at the Oldenburg State Championships. The licensed Jupiter BC placed at the Dressage Horse Bundeschampionat and won gold at the Hanoverian Dressage Horse Championships. Jovian’s sporting offspring include World Breeding Dressage Championship for Young Horses finalist J’adore Dior H, the silver medalist at World Breeding Dressage Championship for four-year-olds, Josi, the Westphalia Vice Champion Just Forever/Lars Schulze-Sutthoff, and the Berlin-Brandenburg State Champion and South German bronze medalist Just the Best/Franziska Ehrich. Joyride was the Champion Mare at the Hanoverian Herwart von der Decken Show. Jolie Coeur As was Reserve Champion Stallion in Westphalia. Even Jovian’s foals were the talk of the town: Slangerupgaards Josefine became the top seller at the Danish Elite Foal Auction, fetching €72,000.
