Significant Upholder of Famous Genes

Fuerst Grandios is a stallion with a lot of presence. His conformation is strikingly correct, his sequence of movement in all three gaits is elastic and especially productive and his jumping is simply awesome. Reserve Champion of the 2004 NRW approval, Champion stallion at his 30-day test in Prussendorf with top scores for his gaits and for rideability (9.13) but just as convincing in jumping (8.25). After winning several tests for young riding horses and a qualification for the Bundeschampionat in 2006, he finished his 70-day test in Schlieckau against very strong competitors on third place overall with an outstanding dressage index of 132.58 (rideability test 9.25!).

Also his inheritance meets the highest expectations: There are already several licensed sons on his account, in Verden in 2012, the eligible young stallion Fürstenhof (dam by Weltmeyer) was sold at 110,000 Euro to the State Stud community Celle, Redefin and Marbach; the full brother Fletcher was sold, at the same site, for the knock-down price of 90,000 Euro to the famous stud Blue Hors in Denmark.

Not for less than 60,000 Euro a two-year old not-licensed stallion by Fürst Grandios – Waterford was sold to Austria at the Oldenburg winter auction. Furthermore, there are several state premium mares from Hanover and North Rhine-Westphalia – as well as the 2009 champion mare of Bavaria and a vice champion mare in Austria. In addition, he produced winners of riding horse ability classes, numerous champion foals and high-priced elite auction candidates round out the picture. According to FN’s estimated breeding value statistics he has entered the top group of dressage sires, thereto he can also refer to a balanced jumping index.

Fürst Grandios originates from the first crop of the famous Florestan son Fürst Heinrich, the 2003‘ world champion of young dressage horses in Verden, who was well-established in the German top group of dressage sires and is more actual then ever due to the Oldenburg double champion stallion and Bundeschampion of young dressage horses, Fürstenball. Meanwhile, his sons cause also in breeding a sensation, e.g. Fürstenball as sire of the 2012’ Oldenburg champion stallion Follow Me or Fürst Romancier as sire of the Oldenburg champion stallion in 2011, For Romance.

Fuerst Grandios’s dam is sired by the legendary Argentinus, who produced international championship horses not only in jumping (e.g. Anka/M. Ehning or Arko III/N. Skelton) but in dressage as well (e.g. Albano/H. Kemmer). Of particular significance in Fuerst Grandios’s pedigree is the Thoroughbred influence that comes from his sport-oriented dam line through the Thoroughbred dressage sire, Barsoi. Two full brothers of the granddam, Condor Boccerini as well as the private stallion, Bajazzo, collect ribbons in tests up to Grand Prix Special. The Grand Prix horse, Millenium, is a half-brother. SPS Griselda’s full sister is the dam of two first class S-level dressage horses called Nussini 2 (Inter I) and Teutone. Another of Fürst Grandios’ younger full brothers was the Reserve Champion stallion at the Oldenburg approval in 2005. The first foals of Fuerst Grandios surpassed expectations: among others he presented the champion foal at the broodmare show in Wadersloh (which later sold for 28,000 Euro at the NRW Elite Foal Auction) as well as three champion foals in Bavaria and the Vice Champion foal at 2008 German Foal Championships in Lienen.
