Could a stallion possibly achieve more? A Bundeschampionat finalist three times, Bundeschampion of six-year olds in Warendorf, many first places in advanced (S) level dressage at the age of seven and, in 2009, at the age of nine, third place in the Nürnberg Burgpokal in Frankfurt’s Festhalle as Germany’s best breeding stallion. Farewell III is one of the most prominent advertisements for his sire, Fidermark. The stallion line of the trademark stallion, Florestan, is presently at its zenith. Even as a four-year old, his generous lines, powerful shoulder and the strong dynamics of his movements impressed the Oldenburg Evaluation Committee and they awarded Farewell III the I-c main premium. Farewells III’s dam, who – just like Rubinstein – combines the bloodline of Rosenkavalier with the bloodline of the Thoroughbred Angelo xx, gave birth to four sons that were licensed. One of Farewell’s most characteristic features is his walk which comes close to the ultimate. During the 2009 season, Farewell III collected six first place and six second place ribbons in advanced (S) level dressage classes up to Intermediaire I. His offspring, which includes licensed sons, are now beginning to show up in sport with promising results and also enhance the collections at German auctions.
