Danzador is Spanish and means “dancing,” which aptly describes our Danzador’s fantastic movement. In 2013, he was one of the most dynamic young stallions at the Verden licensing and was awarded a premium stallion to great applause from the audience. After a thrilling bidding war, the extremely likeable bay stallion was secured as one of the top stallion stallions for our stallion station.
Following his stallion performance test in Schlieckau, where he received a score of 9.5 for his temperament and 9.0 for his rideability, Danzador made his successful dressage debut in 2015 under Sandra Kötter and placed at the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championships. In the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Danzador qualified for the Bundeschampionat several times and competed in dressage horse tests up to the intermediate level. In 2016, he also won elementary level dressage horse tests for his age and placed at the Bundeschampionships. His excellent rideability, coupled with a natural talent for collection, predestine him as a dressage horse for future major challenges.
Through matings with a variety of bloodlines, Danzador imparts that certain something to his foals in terms of distinctive physique and quality of movement (see videos). High-priced auction foals and champion foals at various shows, such as the Championess of the South German Oldenburg Foal Championship from his first crop, have resulted. Danzador produced a premium stallion in Verden (dam by Royal Highness; breeder: Gestüt Tenterhof, Ratingen) from his first crop.
Danzador is also extremely interesting genetically. Through his sire, Diamond Hit, he is a direct descendant of the highly contemporary sire of the century, Donnerhall. On the dam’s side, Lauries Crusador xx and Lemon Tree (by Lemon xx) provide valuable thoroughbred blood. In subsequent generations, Wendekreis and Waidmannsdank xx ideally secure Danzador’s performance pedigree.
Diamond Hit was a premium stallion at the Oldenburg licensing in 1999 and subsequently a two-time vice-Bundeschampion and vice-World Champion of young dressage horses. Ridden by Emma Hindle/GBR, he won dressage classes up to Grand Prix level. Diamond Hit retired from the sport in 2012. He had previously received the VTV dressage stallion award in Vechta in 2005. Fifty-five of his sons have been licensed, including the NRW Champion Stallion Dubrovnik NRW, the South German licensing winner Don Diamond, the Hanoverian premium stallion Dr. Watson, and the Bundeschampion Donavan. Among his nearly 800 successful offspring, around 70 of whom have achieved success in advanced (S) dressage, Blue Hors Loxana/Daniel Bachmann Andersen/DEN, Della Cavalleria OLD/Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT, Dark Diamond/Hubertus Schmidt, and Diamond Girl/Nadine Capellmann stand out.
The performance-tested dam Luci was awarded the state premium.
The dam’s sire, Lauries Crusador xx, stationed at the Lower Saxony State Stud in Celle, has had a lasting impact on German warmblood breeding like no other breeder. He himself achieved a GAG of 90.5 kilograms on the track. Seventy-one of his sons were licensed for breeding. In 2006, Lauries Crusador xx was the only non-Hanoverian branded stallion to date to be named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. He passed away in 2013 at the age of 28. The total winnings of his sporting offspring, 88 of which were in advanced (S) level, amounted to almost one million euros in 2015.
The granddam Limone produced the licensed Lauries (by Lauries Crusador xx) and his full sister Lambada, who in turn became the mother of the Celle state stallion and stallion performance test winner Bonifatius (by Belissimo M).
