The mother brought four sport horses

From the famous Holsteiner line 18a2

Comrado, the son of the influential Comme il faut, impresses above all with his generous frame, his athleticism, his ambition and the ability to combine it with extremely efficient technique and a high degree of natural balance. “He is never in danger of making a mistake,” praised the judges at his 50-day test 2025 in Adelheidsdorf, which he finished with consistently good grades and a weighted jumping final score of over 8.

The sire Comme il faut, himself the result of the mating of the Olympic stallion and European team champion Cornet Obolensky/Marco Kutscher to the team Olympic champion, world champion, World Cup winner, European champion and Aachen winner Ratina Z/Ludger Beerbaum, was licensed in Münster-Handorf in 2007. The following year, he became the jumping winner at his stallion performance test at the same place. Under Franz-Josef Dahlmann, he won silver at the World Championships for young show jumpers (5y.o.) in Lanaken/BEL in 2010 and silver at the German Championships (6y.o.) in 2011. From 2013, Comme il faut took off internationally under Marcus Ehning. The pair’s sporting record includes team silver at the 2019 European Championships in Rotterdam/NED, victories in the Grand Prix of Madrid/ESP, Vienna/AUT, Brussels/BEL and Paderborn, winning the Nations Cup final in Barcelona/ESP as well as top placings in the Grand Prix of Dortmund, Rotterdam/NED and Rome/ITA. In 2021, Comme il faut was ceremoniously bid farewell to the sport at the European Championships in Riesenbeck. More than 140 sons of Comme il faut have been licensed worldwide. He is currently back among the top ten of the world’s best show jumping sires according to the WBFSH ranking, thanks to the successes of his offspring, especially the 2024 Olympic champion in Paris/FRA, Checker/Christian Kukuk, and the European Championship team bronze medallist Cuma/Katharina Rhomberg/AUT.

The motherAlma has already produced the show jumpers Daaje (by Lasino; 1.40 m-jump), Cronus (by Casall; 1.35 m-jump), Jasmin (by Comme il faut; 1.35 m-jump) and Londonderry (by Livello; 1.40 m-jump).

The dam’s sire is the direct Cor de la Bryère son Corrado I, who has had a lasting influence on Holsteiner breeding. He was one of the first stallions to prove his exceptional position in the course himself, which was unusual at the time. Under Franke Sloothaak, Corrado I won the World Cup competitions in Dortmund and Aarhus/DEN, the NRW Prize in Aachen and the Grand Prix of Kiel, Neumünster and Leeuwarden/NED, was second in the Nations Cup in La Baule/FRA and third in the Nations Cup in Aachen. From the group of his 85 licensed sons, the fourth of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens/GRE, Clinton/Dirk Demeersman/BEL, stands out, the sire of the current WBFSH leader Cornet Obolensky/Marco Kutscher. In terms of sport, there is an armada of almost 80-strong 1.60-metre show jumpers, led by the team world and European champion as well as two-time individual vice European champion Corradina/Carsten-Otto Nagel.

The licensed stallion Clinton Jmen (by Corrado I) and the mare Legende V (by Landgraf), who in turn produced Vanya W (by Carnute), who was successful in World Cup show jumping, and Zora I (by Carentan), who became the dam of the 1.55 metre jumper Eibo (by Quardos)/Nathalie Stecher, descended from his granddam Zarina VII.

The third dam Swatowo produced the licensed Alant (by Ahorn Z) and is herself a full sister to the two licensed stallions Leonardo I and II.

The stallions Catwalk (by Coman; 1.65m)/Robert Whitaker/GBR, L.B. Chaplini (by Cassin; 1.45 m-Spr.), Loveless (by Lord Z; 1.55 m-Spr.), Landskron (by Lahnstein; 1.40 m-Spr.), Diacont (by Diamant de Semilly), Canoso (by Catoki; 1.45 m-Spr.) and many other, equally highly successful show jumpers come out of the famous Holsteiner line 18a2.
