Youngest stallion among the top 30 in the WBFSH ranking Show jumping sires
German runner-up and fourth in the Sires of the World final
Holstein line 8798
The highly successful offspring of Casallco helped their sire – as one of the youngest sires, mind you – to jump into the top 30 in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best show jumping sires. Acajou/Ilan Bluman/COL won in Ocala/USA, Cavoiro – H OLD/Roy van Beek/BEL was unbeatable in Deauville/FRA, Casa Diva PS/Álvaro González de Zarate Fernandez/ESP led the competition in Vejer de la Frontera/ESP, Iron Dames Casa Blue PS/Katrin Eckermann was successful in Prague/CZE, COM’on Coffee PS/Zascha Nygaard/DEN in Rome/ITA and Casallco’s George PS/Maximilian Lill in Wiesbaden. Furthermore, the Casallco’s track record includes the 2023 World Champion for young show jumpers and Iron Dames Cascajall NRW/Katrin Eckermann, who has already been placed in 1.50 metre show jumping, and the Vice World Champion for show jumpers and 770,000 Euro P.S.I. auction offer Casanina PS/Juan Pablo Jimenez Torres/MEX, who already has placings in 1.45 metre show jumping. Other P.S.I. auction highlights are the Chyazint (1.50 m-spr.)/Jens Baakmann and Casabea Blue PS (1.50 m jump), which was knocked down for 1.6 million euros./Emanuele Camilli/ITA.
More than ten sons of Casallco were licensed, including the aforementioned OS licensing winner, stallion performance test jumping winner and internationally successful up to 1.60 m show jumping Cavoiro – H OLD/Roy van Beek/BEL and the two Casalou PS stationed with us, for whom international placings up to 1.40 m course are already successful under Zascha Nygaard/DEN, and the serial show jumping winner Casco Blue PS.
At the German Foal Championships, a son finished fifth on the final ring. And the Casallco daughter Casa mia was a 20,500 Euro jumping price at the elite foal in Hagen a.T.W.
Casallco himself was OS Reserve Champion, Ib main premium winner, ideal jumper (three times the dream score of 10) and Bundeschampionat qualifier. He then won silver at the German Championships under Philip Rüping, won the Grand Prix of Opglabbeek/BEL, was second in the Grand Prix of Herning/DEN and in Paderborn, fourth in the Sires of the World final in Lanaken/BEL and in the Nations Cup in Bratislava/SVK, fifth in the Grand Prix of Riesenbeck, sixth in the Grand Prix of Stockholm/SWE, Seventh in the Grand Prix of Lastrup and went double clear in the Nations Cup of Drammen/NOR. In 2025, Casallco was named Oldenburg Future Sire.
With Casall, Contender, Carthago and Calypso II, Casallco combines the outstanding top of Holstein breeding in his pedigree. In addition, he has been bred to the line’s founder Cor de la Bryère a total of four times.
The sire Casall was one of the absolute top earners with prize money of around 4.2 million euros. Under Rolf-Göran Bengtsson/SWE, the son of the great Caretino won the Global Champions Tour overall ranking, the World Cup final in Leipzig and European Championship team bronze. In many cases, he competed in the top competitions with his no less successful offspring, who catapulted him into the top ten of the world’s best show jumping sires for the first time in 2015 according to the WBFSH. Among his more than 200 licensed stallions are the two Holstein licensing winners Cadilo and Casaltino as well as the reserve champions Catch it and El.H. Cascadello I, the latter of which was auctioned at the record price of 600,000 euros.
The dam Zelda IV is a full sister to the internationally placed Chocoprince and half-sister to the 1.50 m jumper Chasseur Ask Z (by Casall). Her two half-brothers Bogeyman (by Chaman) and Super Nova (by Casall), who are also successful in sport, were licensed. The licensed stallion Cascado and the 1.40 metre show jumper I-Renata (both by Casall) come from Zelda’s full sister Charlize.
The dam’s sire Contender sired numerous internationally highly successful show jumping horses. Their winnings totaled over eleven million euros in Germany alone.
The granddam Marli is a full sister of the licensed stallions and Creve Coeur and Chippendale, who are successful in 1.40 metre show jumping. The 1.50 metre show jumper St.Pr.St Bianca III (by Casall) comes from the Marli daughter Iona I (by Cantus).
Carthago, in the third generation, took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta/USA and Sydney/AUS with Jos Lansink/BEL. He also won the Nations Cups of Aachen, Rotterdam/NED and La Baule/FRA and is also considered one of the most influential sons of Capitol I in terms of breeding.
In the fourth generation, the formative Contender sire Calypso II appears a second time, followed by the charismatic Vornholz Ramiro son Rio Negro.
Casallco represents the Holstein line 8798. This is originally of Hanoverian origin: the licensed stallions Hemmingway, Le Filou I and II and the internationally successful show jumpers Charly Brown/Uwe Volmer or Marc Bettinger as well as Quenaro also come from him.
