The still youthful chestnut stallion bred by Friederike Pelzer, Steinhorst already shows from his movements where the journey can go later. The very safe trot with good back activity, striking shoulder freedom and high tactfulness impressed the professional audience at the Verden licensing. But also the well-paced, very expansive walk and the outstanding balanced canter make this stallion a promising overall package for breeding and sport.
Barbarossa’s sire Bonds is currently one of the top sires in dressage horse breeding and has already celebrated many successes under Beatrice Hoffrogge. The pedigree is rounded off by For Romance and De Niro.
But the mare line of Barbarossa is also very promising. The offspring not only shone on the show rings, but were also highly successful in the dressage arena, such as Dreammaster by Dimaggio (St.Georg) or Smilla P v. San Amour (St.Georg).
