“A horse to dream about, a real gem,” commented FN training ambassador Christoph Hess on Be Sure’s extremely successful performance in the final of the 2025 Nuremberg Burg Cup. He was the only seven-year-old to qualify for this event with his victory in Balve. Out of five starts in his first advanced-level season, Be Sure won four under his rider Leonie Richter – with scores of over 80 percent – and came second once. At the age of six, he won the Dressage Horse Championships under the saddle of Eva Möller with a total score of 8.74 (supple: 8.8, harmony of presentation: 9.0). Prior to that, he was also unbeatable at the Hanoverian Championships (canter: 9.0, trot: 8.8, overall impression: 8.5). As a five-year-old, he placed eleventh with a score of over 80 percent under Thomas Sigtenbjerggaard/DEN in the World Breeding Dressage Championship for Young Horses Final in Ermelo/NED and also reached the final at the Danish Championships. Be Sure was a premium stallion in Hanover and Denmark and was the Danish Champion Four-Year-Old Stallion in 2022. Under Mette Sejbjerg Jensen/DEN, he received the highest rideability score of 9.4 at the Danish Dressage Horse Championships. He also received top marks for his prospects (9.3) and basic gaits (trot and canter 9.0, walk 8.7) and won silver. Be Sure had previously completed his stallion performance test in Denmark as second Reserve Champion. He received a 9.0 for his trot, canter, rideability, and performance.
Be Sure has become one of the most sought-after stud stallions in Denmark. He sends a record number of sons to the Danish licensing in Herning, Denmark, this March. His already licensed sons include the Oldenburg premium stallion Brando de Fontaine and the SWB Stallion Trophy winner Balvenie VH. One of his outstanding foals is Bijou, the €67,000 top seller at the SWB Elite Foal Auction in Flyinge, Sweden.
His sire is Benicio, Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2025.
The dam, Susi Sorglos, was the Champion Mare at the Hanoverian Show in Großenwörden and placed at the Herwart von der Decken Show (Ib) in 2017.
