Dannebrog has already showed great talent that reflects his sire and dam lines legendary successes. He achieved a dressage index of 135.7, finishing as third best dressage stallion and especially showcased because of his extraordinary character, his fantastic rideability and his three supple and elastic basic gaits. He always maintained the rhythm combined with a very soft contact with the bit.
Don Schufro, Dannebrog’s sire, has for many years been at the very top of the German breeding list for dressage stallions. This largely framed stallion who is stationed at the Blue Horse Stud in Denmark graduated as a superior winner in the dressage performance test in Adelheidsdorf with a total of 154.93 points.
The mare line of this stallion is also highly approved due to the close relationship with Don Primero and Sunny Boy. Dannebrog’s dam is by Brentano 11 who has clearly left his mark on him through his outward appearance. Brentano 11 was Stallion of the Year in 2003 and has in addition to Weltmeyer and Londonderry made a tremendous impression at Celle. Dannebrog has a significant dam line through the Kassette family from the Main Stud Trakehnen. Out of this line comes numerous competition horses and highly approved mares, the most famous offspring of this mare line is probably Kostolany, Trakehner of the Year 2009 and father to Gribaldi and grand father to Totilas.
Here is a stallion that carries exquisite dressage blood in a Trakehner dam line. Dannebrog may follow in the footsteps of his grandfather Brentano 11, being of noble liver-chestnut colour and outstanding disposition. This stallion is also very rideable and fascinates with three supple, relaxed and rhythmical basic gaits with a very smooth contact. Dannebrog received 9 for character, 8 temperament, 8 willingness, 8.75 rideability, 9 trot, 8.17 canter, 8.67 walk and 7.67 cross country at his performance test. He has one licensed son, 5 state premium mares and 14 auction horses.
