German Championships bronze medallist and third in his stallion performance test

Champion Stallion with top genetics

When the best comes together – as is the case of Viva Vitalis. This is a combination of the proven and tested genetics of our Burg Cup winner and top-class sire Vitalis with the fabulous Gesine mare family.

Viva Vitalis presented himself in a superior manner from his first appearance on hard ground onwards. A fantastic dressage stallion, equipped with very harmonious conformation and active hindquarters, which are always under the centre of gravity. Consequently, Viva Vitalis was selected as the winning stallion by the licensing commission.

His sire Vitalis was Champion Foal in the Netherlands in 2007, Reserve Champion of the NRW licensing in 2009, winner of the dressage index of his stallion performance test in 2010, placed at the World Championships and Pavo Cup final in 2012, Champion in the USA and again qualified for the World Championships with a record number of points in 2013 and victorious in the International Small Tour at only seven years old in 2014. He came back to Germany and, in 2016, won the Burg Cup final in Frankfurt and the “Stallion of the year” competition at Inter I level at the World Championships in Ermelo/NED. He has produced almost 70 licensed stallions. The first offspring are successful in Grand Prix dressage competitions, such as Valencia AS, who came second in the Louisdor Prize and Valesco (both ridden by Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier), who won the Grand Prix in Aachen and the Otto-Lörke Prize, Vamos Amigos/Cathrine Dufour/DEN, who was victorious in Compiègne and the German U25 Champion, Vinay NRW/Ellen Richter.

His dam Furtherance is a full sister of For Romance I OLD, Oldenburg Champion Stallion, Main Premium winner, Burg Cup finalist, VTV dressage stallion and successful in Grand Prix, For Romance II, premium stallion standing at our stud and placed in international Grand Prix competitions at only seven-years-old, For Romance III de la Gesse, licensed stallion, Fasine OLD, Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion and P.S.I record top price, who produced the licensed stallion Fasino (by Foundation), and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache), dam of the licensed stallions HP Valentino and Vincello (both by Vitalis). Furtherance also produced our licensed stallion Go for Romance PS (by Governor).

His dam’s sire Fürst Romancier was fourth at the World Championships for young dressage horses and the German National Championships, received the Ia main premium and has produced, up to now, over 30 licensed stallions, including the licensing and main premium winner For Romance I OLD, and premium stallion For Romance II. Their full sister St.Pr.St. Fasine OLD was Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion and P.S.I. top price.

His grand-dam El.St. Gesine also produced our Champion Stallion Feinrich and the Oldenburg Champion Mare Fürstin Gesine (both by Fürst Heinrich), who produced the licensed stallions Visino PS (by Vitalis) and Montrachet PS (by Morricone I). Bred to De Niro, Gesina produced the licensed stallion Desino and bred to Bordeaux, she produced Mount St. John Best of All, British Dressage Champion and placed up to Small Tour level, who is the dam of Best of Mount St. John OLD (by Fürst Romancier), Vice Regional Champion and placed fifth at the German Championships, and of the licensed stallion MSJ Q (by Quantensprung). Gesina’s daughter Vesina PS (by Vivaldi) produced the licensed stallion Sebastino PS (by Secret).

Through the third sire Sir Donnerhall I and the fourth sire Don Schufro, there is interesting line breeding to the sire of the century Donnerhall and the no less significant half-blood Sandro in the previous generations of Viva Vitalis’ pedigree.

His great-grand-dam Gesine also produced the Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi) and Amadeus de l’Aubois (by Der Designer), who sired in France. Her daughter Sadira de Malleret (by Sir Donnerhall I) produced Helen Langehanenberg’s mare, who is victorious at advanced (S) level Zaeta de Malleret, (by Zonik).

The famous stallion Voltaire also descends from this bloodline.
