OS Champion Stallion and second stallion performance test Reserve Champion
After his magnificent performance at the licensing of the Oldenburg-International (OS) Show Jumping Breeding Association, where Tobaro outshone his age group as the undisputed champion stallion, the black show jumping talent completed his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf as the second reserve champion with highlights in jumping ability, manner, canter, willingness to perform, overall impression and rideability (9.25).
This year, Tobaro will present his first crop of foals.
The sire Tobago Z sets the tone in international show jumping. Under Daniel Deußer, he placed in the World Cup competitions of Bordeaux/FRA and Amsterdam/NED, won a five-star show jumping competition in Wellington/USA, won the Grand Prix of ‘s-Hertogenbosch/NED and Brussels/BEL and was unbeatable in the Global Champions Tour stage in New York/USA and in the Super Grand Prix in Prague/CZE. He also finished fourth in the World Cup final in Gothenburg/SWE and team silver at the European Championships in Rotterdam/NED. Six sons were licensed internationally. The first offspring are already successful in 1.60 meter show jumping.
Tobaro’s half-brother, Chapeau (by Chaccato), won medium level show jumping competitions for young horses in 2023 at the age of six under Jennifer Fogh Pedersen.
At the beginning of his career, the dam’s sire Converter won 22 show jumping competitions for young horses with scores up to 9.0. In 2005 he won the Oldenburg State Championships, placed at the German Championships and was the second-best show jumping stallion at the World Championships for young show jumpers in Lanaken/BEL. Five of his sons received a positive licensing verdict, including our Conthargos. His offspring, who have been successful at advanced (S) level, are led by the European Championship team bronze medallist Crüger/Max Haunhorst, Compagnon/Hans Thorben Rüder and Caja/Martin Sterzenbach.
The grandmother Andante/Steffen Engfer placed in 1.35 meter course. She is a half-sister to the Grand Prix dressage horse Rubin Raphael (by Rubin Royal) and Ladylover (by Armitage), who was successful in 1.40 m show jumping.
The third sire Argentinus inherited extremely versatile. His offspring include our European Championship team gold medallist All Star/Denis Lynch/IRL, World Cup winner Anka/Marcus Ehning, World Cup runner-up Air Jordan Z/Daniel Deußer, European Team Champion Asti Spumante/Thomas Mühlbauer, Olympic tenth Arko III/Nick Skelton/GBR, World Championship team fourth Adlantus As FRH/Lars Nieberg, Banda de Hus/Kevin Staut/FRA or Gregory Wathelet/BEL and Azarro/Holger Wulschner. The Argentinus offspring were also ahead in dressage, as proven by the European Championship team gold medallist Albano/Heike Kemmer, the two-time German champion Amaretto/Isabell Werth and August the Strong OLD/Victoria Max-Theurer/AUT.
The 1.40 metre show jumper Whitney/Hartwig Jung and the Grand Prix dressage horse Solid Gold/Elizaveta Lyban/RUS also come from the Kriegsburg line.
Son of Team Vice European Champion and Global Champions Tour stage winner Tobago Z/Daniel Deußer
