Ingenious combination of the Szechwan blood with the Gesine tribe

Sebastino PS made people sit up and take notice with his first foals: San Sebastián

was the top price of 21,000 Euros in the Rhineland, Sir Bastiano was the second top price at the DSP Big Chance Foal Auction and a colt won silver at the South German Championships. In terms of personal performance, this incredibly shapely short test reserve champion (8.82 overall) and Bundeschampion qualifier also uses his world champion genetics. In the pedigree of Sebastino PS, for example, the paternal line Secret – Sezuan – Zack meets one of the most hereditary mare lines ever, the line of our El.St. Gesina. She produced ten licensed sons.

His sire Secret is sired by Sezuan, who is a three-time World Champion for young dressage horses and internationally victorious up to Inter I, who is currently the youngest stallion in 16th place in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires. Secret won his 14-day test, took silver at the German Riding Horse Championships in 2017 and silver at the World Championships for young young dressage horses for five-year-olds in 2019. In 2020, he became German Champion of six-year-old dressage horses under his rider Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE. More than 70 licensed sons are on the books, including Segantini FRH, who twice placed among the top ten at the World Championships for young dressage horses for six- and seven-year-olds under Dorothee Schneider and qualified for the Burg Cup final, having previously been German Champion for Riding Horses. Silver and bronze at the World Championships for young dressage horses went to the Secret sons Alkaline/Merita Hagren/DEN and Severucci HT/Jeanna Hogberg/SWE. Soxx secured gold at the German and Westphalian Championships for three-year-old stallions in 2025. And then there are the Vice German Champion Sézane, the Vice German Champion and Hanoverian Champion Sedamo K as well as the Riding Horse Vice German Champion, DSP Association Champion and Baden-Württemberg State Champion DSP Snickers F.

His dam Vesina PS also produced Drei hundert PS (by Dante’s Junior), who was placed in Dressage Horse M. She herself is sister to ten licensed stallions, including the Oldenburg licensing winner, main premium winner, Burg Cup finalist, VTV dressage stallion and Grand Prix successful For Romance I OLD and the premium stallion and internationally placed For Romance II (both by Fürst Romancier), the two other licensing winners Feinrich (by Fürst Heinrich) and Viva Romance PS (by Vinino) and the Burg Cup fifth and Inter II winner Golden Romance Malleret PS (by Governor)/Manuel Dominguez Bernal/ESP. Her half-sister Fasine OLD (by Fürst Romancier) advanced to become the Oldenburg Champion Mare, German Champion, P.S.I. price record holder and is successful up to Inter II. In breeding, Fasine produced the licensed stallion Fasino (by Foundation), Valarina PS (by Vivaldi), who was successful in international junior competitions and previously bred by the licensed Fascination (by Fynch Hatton), and the mare A la Fasine (by Apache), who became the dam of the licensed full brothers HP Valentino (S-Dr.) and HP Vincello (both by Vitalis). Vesina’s half-sister Fürstin Gesine (by Fürst Heinrich) was also Oldenburg Champion Mare and became the dam of the licensed stallions Visino PS (by Vitalis) and Montrachtet PS (by Morricone I). Her half-sister Furtherance (by Fürst Romancier) produced the two licensed stallions Go For Romance PS (by Governor) and Viva Vitalis (by Vitalis)/Lukas Fischer, licensing winner and reigning dressage horse national and Oldenburg state champion. Vesina PS is also a half-sister to the British Dressage Champion and placed up to the Small Tour Mount St. John Best of all (by Bordeaux), who in turn became the dam of the Vice National Champion and fifth at the German Championships Best of Mount St. John OLD (by Fürst Romancier) and the licensed stallion MSJ Q (by Quantensprung). Her half-sister Fasinette (by Fürst Romancier) produced the licensed stallion Jovianson (by Jovian). And finally, the Gesina daughter Fine Gesina (by Foundation) produced our Lord Romance PS (by Lord Europe) and the premium stallion Volare by Va Bene.

The dam’s sire Vivaldi was placed under Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED up to international St. Georges dressage and secured the VHO Trophy at the KWPN licensing in 2013. Previously, he was stallion performance test reserve champion, Pavo Cup winner and two-time winner of the KNHS/KWPN stallion series (trot 10) in the Netherlands. He has held his top position among the world’s best dressage sires according to the WBFSH ranking for years. He owes this above all to his more than 70 licensed sons, many of whom also excel in the Grand Prix arena, such as the European Championship team runner-up Desperado/Emmelie Scholtens/NED, the Olympic, World Championship and European Championship team fifth Glock’s Dream Boy/Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, as well as Cennin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED, Blue Hors Veneziano/Laura Kristine Thorup/DEN and the newly crowned Louisdor Prize winner Viva Gold OLD/Isabell Werth. Of course, this phalanx also includes our influential Burg Cup winner and elite stallion Vitalis/Isabel Freese/NOR.

The granddam Gesine also produced the first Reserve Champion Vivaldi’s Schufro (by Vivaldi) and Amadeus de l’Aubois (by Der Designer), who was covered in France. From her daughter Sadira de Malleret (by Sir Donnerhall I) comes Helen Langehanenberg’s Zaeta de Malleret (by Zonik), who won the international Small Tour.

Numerous licensed stallions come from the Hanoverian line of Mosaik, including the influential Voltaire (by Furioso II)/Jos Lansink/BEL.
