Resplendant Bundeschampion in his age category and 18 times novice horse show jumping class winner
It was impossible to miss Cornet’s Stern at the 2008 Bundeschampionat final. He scored 9.0 in the qualifier, 9.0 in the final qualifier and 9.0 and 9.3 respectively in the two rounds of the final. This beautiful grey stallion’s perfect jumping manner kept onlookers on the edges of their seats, awestruck by his bascule, reflexes, technique and the ease with which he completed the courses. His performance at his 70-day test, where he received the excellent score of 9.75 for scope and 9.5 for jumping ability, caused quite a stir.Cornet’s Stern combines the Olympic genes of his sire, Cornet Obolensky, with the direct dam line of European Champion mare Gladdys. Cornet Obolensky is a successful show jumping stallion with his rider Marco Kutscher and he has already produced two North Rhine-Westphalia licensing champions. His oldest offspring were six in 2009 and they have collectively won prize money of more than EUR 106,000. Cornet Obolensky has produced three champion stallions to date and eight of his progeny qualified for the Bundeschampionat final in 2008. His maternal grandsire, Pilot, was the youngest horse in Germany to win one million euro in prize money and has produced top show jumpers such as Aachen World Championship finalist Pialotta and Ludger Beerbaum’s Team World Champion Priamos. Goldstern was considered to be one of Gotthard’s best offspring, with Ramzes AA’s son Radetzki impressively rounding off the pedigree in the fourth generation.
