Victories in show jumping competitions for young horses
From the line of the stallion of the century Quidam de Revel
The beautiful and powerful grey stallion Ciamant first collected sporting merits. His victories in show jumping tests for young horses with scores up to 8.5 also include winning the qualification at the Oldenburg State Tournament in Rastede, in whose final he was not eligible to compete as a Zangersheide stallion. At the Deister Championships, Ciamant shone with a double clear round under the saddle of Koji Harada/JPN.
The Holstein sire Catoki, himself a great-grandson of the so authoritative Cor de la Bryère through his sire Cambridge, was the stallion performance test winner in Radegast in 2001, serial winner in show jumping competitions, vice German champion of five-year-olds in 2003 and fourth in the Warendorf final of six-year-olds in 2004. In 2005, he achieved his first international successes, which culminated under Philipp Weishaupt in victories and placings in the World Cup finals in Geneva/SUI and Leipzig as well as in the Nations Cups and Grand Prix in Vigo/ESP, Bordeaux/FRA, Doha/UAE, La Baule/FRA, Aachen, Hickstead/GBR, Calgary/CAN, Helsinki/FIN and Valkenswaard/NED. From 2013, Catoki went on a ribbon hunt with the young Dane Emil Hallundbaek. His 72 licensed sons are led by Olympic finalist, European Championship team gold and individual bronze medallist Ermitage Kalone under Gilles Thomas/BEL, his sporting offspring by the WEG team bronze medallist and Nations Cup winner Catch me if you Can OLD under Laura Klaphake.
The dam Erenice Horta went in the World Cup final in 2013 under Edwina Tops-Alexander/AUS. Her daughter Irenice Horta (by Vigo d’Arsouilles) finished seventh in the individual final at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon/USA in 2018 with Lorenza de Luca/ITA. Five offspring of Irenice Horta are successful in the international course, such as H5 Origi Horta (by Kasanova de la Pomme; 1.60 m-Spr.)/Carlos Hank Guerreiro/MEX and Morris Horta (by Eldorado van de Zeshoek; 1.60 m-jump)/Martien van der Hoeven/USA.
The dam’s sire Diamant de Semilly won WEG team gold in Jerez de la Frontera/ESP in 2002 and European Championship team silver in Donaueschingen in 2003 under Eric Levallois/FRA and has been one of the top three of the world’s best show jumping sires for almost a decade. In 2017 and 2022, he even leads the rankings, and the son of Le Tot de Semilly out of a dam by Elf III, who died in 2022 at the age of 31, is currently in fourth place in the WBFSH ranking. Among his most successful offspring is the licensed millionaire Don VHP Z/Harrie Smolders/NED and of course our Diarado.
The granddam Berenice of Colors produced the two licensed stallions Le Diamant Horta (by Diamant de Semilly; 1.45 m jump) and Quint Horta (by Mosito van het Hellehof; 1.45 m jumping) as well as other international show jumping horses.
The third dam Herenice de Baugy produced the two licensed stallions Isidoor van de Helle (by Canturo; 1.60 m-Spr.) /Constant van Paesschen/BEL and Messi of Colors (by Elvis ter Putte; 1.50 m)/Josh Kindell/GBR.
The fourth dam Urenice de Baugy produced the stallions Far West de Baugy (by Laudanum xx; 1.45 m jump) and Jicky de Baugy (Papillon Rouge; 1.40 m jump).
Ciamant goes back to the mare line of the so important Quidam de Revel, from which countless stallions and top show jumpers come.
