Premium Stallion of the Holstein licensing 2016
Large-framed and impressive, Casallato is appreciated for his classic Holstein values: A clear performance type, with an energetic and highly active trot, plenty of scope, a first-class manner and the greatest possible caution.
His sire Casall was a “long-runner” in international show-jumping with Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and represented Sweden at the Olympics and World and European Championships in the front line. He has won over 2 million euros in Grand-Prix and show-jumping World Cups and is currently fourth in the WBFSH world ranking of the best show-jumping sires. To date, he has sired 60 licensed stallions and 161 successful horses in S level show-jumping.
His dam sire, Calato, is considered to be one of the best sons of the influential Holstein bred Capitol I. He was brought to the German national show-jumping championships by the unforgettable Herbert Blöcker and successfully ridden up to advanced level. With junior rider Jennifer Fogh Pedersen, he won the Nordic and Danish championships as well as Nations’ Cups with the Danish team.
The thoroughbred Tumbled xx and the outstanding Holstein high performers Rigoletto and Consul brilliantly round off this pedigree in the earlier generations. Casalato represents the well-known and highly effective Holstein line 5401. It produced the internationally successful stallion Changing Winds/Thomas Voss, other stallions such as Casidall GT, Dreamstreet (NL), the licensing champion Fernando, New Quidam I and II, Rodrigo, Tamango, Viva Vulkano and the successful show-jumping horses GK Helena/Inga Czwalina as well as Leconte with Matt Williams (AUS) and Marcus Ehning.
Casallato: The best from Holstein!
