Mecklenburg premium stallion from the debut crop of Escanto PS
Half-brother is Grey Tonic PS
The Grand Prix successful granddam Zantana RS2 OLD N.O.P. is a triple stallion dam
“A large-framed stallion who is completely in the type of the modern riding horse with an impressive uphill construction and who was particularly convincing in the three basic gaits. A stallion that moves very well in balance and is very correct throughout the body. An almost perfect horse,” commented Dr. Thomas Nissen in praise of our Epic Zone PS at his award as premium stallion in Mecklenburg.
Epic Zone PS is out of the debut crop of his sire Escanto PS, who secured gold at the German Championships for four-year-old stallions with dream scores of up to 10 (for trot and canter), after he had already secured the title of Oldenburg State Champion in a superior manner under his trainer Brandi Roenick/USA. In his stallion performance tests, he also prevailed against the strong competition with top scores of 9.43 and 9.12. Escanto PS then made a victorious debut in dressage tests for young horses and qualified for the German Championships for young dressage horses. With his foals, he exceeded the highest expectations, produced many show winners and auction highlights, such as Easy to Love, which was sold for 40,000 euros at the Oldenburg Elite Auction, and finalists at the German Foal Championships as well as the champion foal of the 40th AWÖ German Championships, Escariano. For this, he was crowned Oldenburg Ia main premium winner in 2024.
Half-brother is the premium stallion and stallion performance test winner Grey Tonic PS (by Grey Flanell), who was sold at our Schockemöhle Online Stallion Auction.
The dam’s sire Secret is sired by the three-time World Champion for young dressage horses and internationally victorious up to Inter I Szechwan, who is currently the youngest stallion in 16th place in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires. Secret won his 14-day test, took silver at the German Riding Horse Championships in 2017 and silver at the World Championships for young young dressage horses for five-year-olds in 2019. In 2020, he became German Champion of six-year-old dressage horses under his rider Jessica Lynn Thomas/SWE. More than 70 licensed sons are on the books, including Segantini FRH, who twice placed among the top ten at the World Championships for young dressage horses for six- and seven-year-olds under Dorothee Schneider and qualified for the Burg Cup final, having previously been German Champion for Riding Horses. Silver and bronze at the World Championships for young dressage horses went to the Secret sons Alkaline/Merita Hagren/DEN and Severucci HT/Jeanna Hogberg/SWE. Soxx secured gold at the German and Westphalian Championships for three-year-old stallions in 2025. And then there are the Vice German Champion Sézane, the Vice German Champion and Hanoverian Champion Sedamo K as well as the Riding Horse Vice German Champion, DSP Association Champion and Baden-Württemberg State Champion DSP Snickers F.
The granddam Zantana RS2 OLD N.O.P., top offer of our P.S.I. auction, won international Grand Prix competitions under her rider Marieke van der Putten, finished fifth with the Dutch team at the European Championships in Crozet/FRA and ranks 13th in the current FEI World Rankings. In breeding, she produced three licensed sons: our stable stallion Fürst Zonik PS (by Fürstenball), who was successful in advanced (S) dressage, under Isabel Freese/NOR, the two-time finalist at the German Championships for young dressage horses Debutant PS (by Deparon)/Dries van Dyck/BEL, and a licensed stallion by Don Schufro.
In the third generation, the father of the reigning double European Champion Zonik Plus/Justin Verboomen/BEL, Glock’s Zonik N.O.P./Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED.
The third dam Sondra became a five-time stallion dam: Glock’s Total U.S. (by Totilas)/Edward Gal/NED, Zaid (by Zonik)/Alina Röhricht and Dante U.S. (by Dante Weltino)/Diederik van Silfhout/NED can boast successes in the international Grand Prix class. Also licensed are: Mister U.S. (by Grey Flanell), who was successful in the Small Tour, and the Pavo Cup finalist Lamborghini U.S. (by Lord Europe). Sondra’s breeding account also includes the Grand Prix dressage horse Gossip Girl (by Grey Flanell)/Evelyn Eger, Great Gatsby PS (by Grey Flanell)/Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, who was successful in Inter II, and De Sondro PS (by De Niro)/Annina Borgström/SWE, who was placed at the Lövsta Future Challenge in Sweden. The Sondra daughter Dandra PS (by Dante Weltino OLD) produced our young star Total PS (by Totilas). Other daughters produce the licensed Jaguar U.S. (by Jovian) and a premium stallion by Vitalis.
