Mother Daloubette van de Krekebeke successful in 1.55 m show jumping

Stallion performance test reserve champion

El Nino PS made a terrific impression at his 50-day test in 2025 in Adelheidsdorf. “A stallion who impresses with his practical, generous canter, works superbly under the center of gravity, and has also demonstrated a lot of carrying capacity, a lot of quality, a lot of ability and a good overview,” was the unanimous verdict of the jury. In numbers: willingness to perform 9.5, ability, canter, rideability and overall impression 9.0, manners 8.5.

His sire Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof combines sporting and breeding expertise. Under Harrie Smolders/NED, the son of Diamant de Semilly was one of the most successful show jumping stallions in the world. In 2016, he was part of the seventh-placed Dutch team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro/BRA. His other successes: second place in the World Cup final in Gothenburg/SWE, victories in the World Cup jumping in Washington/USA, in the Global Champions Tour of Chantilly/FRA and the Grand Prix of Bordeaux/FRA as well as in the Nations Cups of Aachen, Rotterdam/NED, Gijon/ESP and Falsterbo/SWE. Emerald van ‘t Ruytershof is listed as an ambassador of Belgian breeding and is among the top ten in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best show jumping sires. His more than 100 licensed sons include the WEG jumper Jaguar vd Berghoeve/Jasmine Chen/TPE, El Barone Z/Jens Fredericson/SWE, who is successful in World Cup show jumping, and the 1.60 metre jumper Ilias/McLain Ward/USA, among others. His almost 60 top offspring are led by Qalista DN, who won the Global Champions Tour stage in New York and the Grand Prix in Maastricht/NED in 2025 alone under Gilles Thomas/BEL and finished second in Rome/ITA, Valkenswaard/NED and London/GBR.

The dam Daloubette van de Krekebeke successfully competed in 1.55 m show jumping competitions under the saddle of Julie de Pelsmaeker/BEL. She has already produced the two licensed and internationally successful stallions Pocket Rocket H (by Kannan; 1.35 m jump) and Qupido H (by Cicero Z van Paemel; 1.45 m jump) /Gaëtan Joliat/SUI as well as ten other internationally successful horses up to 1.60 m course, such as Jaloubet van de Oosthoeve (by Caspar; 1.60 m jump) /Fernando Rodriguez Esparza/MEX and Princess Dalou H (by Vigo d’Arsouilles; 1.50 m jump) /Mclain Ward/USA.

The dam’s sire Baloubet du Rouet won the World Cup final in 1998 under Rodrigo Pessoa/BRA and repeated this victory in 1999 and 2000. The pair finished the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney/AUS with the team bronze medal. Four years later, both crowned their joint career with Olympic gold in the individual ranking in Athens/GRE. Selle Francais-Fuchs, descended from Galoubet, also made a career as a sire. His offspring registered in Germany alone earned over 5.2 million euros, to which his licensed son Chaman/Ludger Beerbaum contributed more than 1.83 million. The breeding record includes over 110 licensed sons and more than 120 1.60 metre jumpers, such as the European Championship bronze medallist Dubai du Cedre/Julien Epaillard/FRA, VDL Bubalu/Jur Vrieling/NED, Sydney une Prince/Roger Yves Bost/FRA, Napoly Du Ry/Simon Delestre/FRA, AS Rahmannshof’s Bogeno/Alvaro Mirnada Neto/ESP and South Wind VDL/Cameron Hanely/IRL.

The third and fourth generations follow with Heartbreaker and the Darco sire Lugano van la Roche other breeding greats.

The granddam Ula van de Krekebeke produced a total of seven international show jumping horses. Her daughter Khadidja van de Krekebeke (by Calvaro Z) became the dam of the licensed stallion Caesar van Jonckhoeve (by Comilfo Plus Z) and the two show jumpers Zoe Blue van de Krekebeke Z (by Zirocco Blue VDL; 1.50 m-Spr.)/Joaquin Tinao Perez-Miravete/ESP and Dhalida (by Diamant de Semilly; 1.60 m jump)/Rodrigo Pessoa/BRA.

Belgian production line 130, including the stallions Balisto vd Schorre Z (by Balou du Rouet), Nithard (by Laudanum xx), Diabeau van de Heffinck (by Clinton), Wind I LS (by Indoctro), Flits (by Lugano van La Roche) and Baritone P (by Darco).
