Brentano 11 is by Bolero, who was above all most impressive by his elegance and tremendous gaits. He was a foundation sire of the very top class. He always transmitted himself, passing on endless nobility, rhythmic movement and frequently also his red-golden chestnut colour. His progeny for many years dominated events at the federal championships, provided countless top Verden auction horses, and numerous sons were approved. In dressage competition sport large numbers of his progeny attained high honours. His death at the age of 12 years in 1987 was a shock to the breeding fraternity.

Brentano 11 is a stallion with excellent ability for dressage. He was winner of the licensing 1985, as well as the Stallion Performance Test. He has been trained to Grand Prix level. He has style and ability, with great masculine presence and good conformation. Like his father he is a very rideable dressage horse and highly esteemed as a hereditary transmitter of rideability and rhythmic movement.
Brentano 11 comes out of Hanover’s highly renowned mare family (Garibaldi 1 & 11). Brentano’s dam is out of the legendary Grande, whose offspring gained a total of more than 1.5 million DM. He has ability to jump in harmony, but this does not put into doubt the dressage ability this horse has. He is an outstanding sire for top dressage horses, yet also produces the odd excellent showjumper. Many Brentano 11 progeny have managed the leap into the advanced dressage sport. His offspring enrich the federal championships in Warendorf anew each year. Brentano 11 is the most successful Bolero son in terms of his breeding successes and is classified as one of the most proven hereditary transmitters of the Hanoverian breed today. Winning sum of progeny is Euro 688,476.

His first breeding was in 1987 and he has 126 state premium mares, and 116 auction horses and 23 licensed sons. His daughter Baccarole won the mare show of Germany 1994. His son Bandito was sold for 200,000 DM at the Spring Elite Auction at Verden. One of Brentano’s successful dressage offspring is the mare Brentina, who convincingly won the individual and team gold medal at the Panamerican Games in 1999. Brentano 11 is also the sire of Bona Dea 11 who was Champion mare 2000 at the Hanoverian broodmare show, the Ratje-Niebuhr. Brentano 11 was awarded the Hanoverian of the Year honour in 2003.
