At the end of the 70 day test Reserve Champion Furst Rousseau was obtained by the State Stud Celle. This is a very elegant and noble black stallion. He is half brother to Dramatic by Don Frederico who was 5 yo Champion of Young Dressage Horses in 2008. Furst Rousseau completed not only a fantastic stallion performance test, his close relative Barclay (Belissimo M – Prestige Pilot – Grenadier), was also awarded with highest scores and he finished this test as winner. Both horses have a mare line that has produced many licensed stallions, the damline of St Pr St Geranie by Grenadier – Arsenik, which originates with the family Wolgarune, father Wohler. This represents one of the best mare lines in Germany.
Sire, Rousseau, is the son of the KWPN stallion Ferro, who is probably one of the most successful dressage stallions of all times in competition sport. He won the silver medal at the Olympic Games and European Championships. He produced numerous top horses for the dressage arena and his approved sons dominate dressage horse breeding in Holland. Rousseau’s career has seen one highlight after another beginning with his approval in 2001 where he was top priced lot at the stallion auction purchased by Hilltop Farm USA. In 2001 he also attained the highest score of all the stallions of his year at the stallion performance test in Ermelo. In 2002 he won the Pavo Cup with an unheard of score including 2 times 10 by the extraneous rider. In 2003 he first won the KWPN Stallion Tournament and then won the silver medal at the World Championships for 5 yo Dressage Horses. He underwent training up to advanced (S) class.
Individual scores at his licensing: 8 character, 8.17 trot, 8 canter, 7.83 walk, 9 rideability, 7.17 free jumping, 6.6 show jumping and 7.67 cross country.
He has 11 state premium mares, 9 auction horses.
