Checkter sets new standards in show jumping breeding : This phenomenally jumping grey stallion completed his stallion performance test (HLP Sport Part I) in 2017 in Munich-Riem with the highest score to date of 9.66 – no other stallion has even come close to achieving this. In 2018, he was again among the absolute top group of his year group in Verden with a score of 9.13, thus securing his lifelong breeding license. Carefully trained, he won several show jumping tests at A, L, and M levels in 2018. In 2018, he was awarded the Ic main premium at the Oldenburg Stallion Days in Vechta for his sporting successes in conjunction with his stallion performance test and impressive first crop of foals. His pedigree is a firework display of international show jumping genetics: His sire Cellestial, who is internationally successful in show jumping (highly placed in Nations Cups), is now one of the best German show jumping sires. 77 of his offspring have already achieved S level successes. Year after year, Cellestial produces successful participants in the Bundeschampionat. 25 sons have now been licensed, including several premium stallions. All subsequent maternal ancestors of Checkter, both stallions and mares, were successful up to advanced (S) level with Gilbert Böckmann. His dam, Ilonka (alias Lila), who was successful in advanced (S) level, was a finalist at the Bundeschampionat in 2005. With Cordalmé Z, she produced the licensed stallion Check In (reserve winner of the OS licensing in 2005), who has since moved from Hamstrup to the ridership of Samantha Mc Intosh (NZL) and, among other things, participated in the 2018 World Championships in Tryon. Her sire, Lord Pezi, was a two-time finalist in the Bundeschampionat, a successful participant in the World Championships in Lanaken/BEL, and placed at advanced (S) level. After spectacular performances with Gilbert Böckmann at the Bundeschampionat, his great-grandfather, Ile de Bourbon, was internationally successful with Thomas Frühmann/AUT. The great-granddam Gilana (aka Lady Liberty) competed internationally under Gilbert Böckmann and Malin Baryard/SWE. She is the dam of the black stallion Caravazzo (by Cordalmé Z; state stud farm Redefin). The great-great-granddam Ghana (by Gotthard-Dominus-Feldhahn) produced the stallion Corghano (by Cordalmé Z), who competed up to advanced (S) level. This Hanoverian dam line 381/Feldblümchen and Norm, which originated from the traditional Hanoverian Hänigsen station, has produced the well-known stallions Carridam PJ, First Gotthard, Fürstengold, Firth of Lorne/Marcus Ehning, Kashmir van Schuttershof, who was successful internationally at CSI5* level under Philip Lejeune, as well as numerous internationally successful show jumpers. More performance in a pedigree is hard to imagine.
Checkter now competes at international shows with Leonie and Gilbert Böckmann. He has already achieved high placings in several difficult show jumping competitions, including in Pinneberg, Oliva Nova, Herzlake and Mühlen.
In 2021, Checkter was named VTV Stallion of the Year at the Oldenburg Stallion Days. He produced several licensed sons at all licensing venues in Germany, including a premium stallion in Westphalia and a premium stallion in Hanover, who achieved the top price at the Verden Stallion Market.
