101 licensed sons

Vitalis is the youngest stallion in fourth place in the WBFSH ranking of the world’s best dressage sires, thanks to his Grand Prix successful offspring, including the Olympic team silver and European Championship team gold medallist Vayron with Daniel Bachmann Andersen/DEN and Ingrid Klimke, the Team World Champion, two-time individual Vice World Champion, World Cup runner-up and U25 European Championship bronze medallist Vamos Amigos with Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour/DEN and Annabella Pidgley, the World Cup final eighth first-step Valentin/Larissa Pauluis/BEL, the Louisdor Prize runner-up and Aachen runner-up Valencia AS, the Aachen winner and Otto Lörke award winner Valesco/both under Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier as well as the Salzburg winner and Nations Cup winner Valparaiso/Laura Strobel. The latter, together with the German Champion, three-time silver medallist at the World Championships for young dressage horses and Burg Cup runner-up Vitalos FRH under Leonie Richter, who won team gold at the Junior European Championships in 2025 under the young Ava Osing, the Westphalian licensing winner Vuelta, who was auctioned off for 850,000 euros, and our licensing winner and German and Oldenburg State Champion Viva Vitalis/Lukas Fischer are among the more than 100 licensed sons of Vitalis. The young talents of the Vitalis are led by the reigning Vice World Champion for young dressage horses Viva Diamond OLD/Linda Weiß, the Children’s European Team Champion and individual bronze medallist Vodka Soda/Lilly Kasselmann, the Vice German Champion and S* series winner Veuve Clicquot FRH/Lars Ligus, the Vice German Champion Veni Vedi Vici, the Westphalian Champion Vito L/Hermann Burger, the Oldenburg Champion Vanelli/Maxi Kira von Platen, the DSP Champions DSP Vangelis/Nicole Casper and Valentin/Johanna The Holstein Champion Elfensymphonie YD, the Baden-Württemberg State Champion FBW Vjera, the Danish Vice Champions Hill Top Cabernet/Betina Jæger Jensen/DEN and Sevilla Pilekær/Nanna Skodborg Merrald/DEN as well as the Polish Champion Viento.

The approximately 100 state premium mares are led by the champion mares Va’Pensiera and Vision L (both Hanover), Vienna (Westphalia), Virginia K (Rhineland), Very Nice (DSP) and Valerie and Vitalia (both Baden-Württemberg). One of Vitalis’ famous daughters is Victoria’s Secret, World Champion for young dressage horses and German Champion.

In many cases, the Vitalis foals topped the auction price lists: the colt Vardy cost 120,000 euros in Vechta. In Warendorf, Vanilla Gold was the top foal price of 110,000 euros.

Vitalis himself was colt winner in the Netherlands in 2007, reserve champion of the NRW licensing in 2009, stallion performance test dressage index winner in 2010, placed at the World Championships for young dressage horses and in the Pavo Cup final in 2012, champion in the USA in 2013 and qualified for the World Championships for young dressage horses again with a record number of points, and in 2014 he won the international Small Tour at the age of seven. Back in Germany in 2016, Vitalis won the Nuremberg Burg Cup final in Frankfurt under Isabel Freese/NOR and the Stallion of the Year competition at Inter I level at the World Championships in Ermelo/NED. In 2025, he was crowned elite stallion in Oldenburg.

The sire Vivaldi was placed under Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED up to international St. Georges dressage and secured the VHO Trophy at the KWPN licensing in 2013. Previously, he was stallion performance test reserve champion, Pavo Cup winner and two-time winner of the KNHS/KWPN stallion series (trot 10) in the Netherlands. He has held his top position among the world’s best dressage sires according to the WBFSH ranking for years. He owes this above all to his more than 70 licensed sons, many of whom also excel in the Grand Prix arena, such as the European Championship team runner-up Desperado/Emmelie Scholtens/NED, the Olympic, World Championship and European Championship team fifth Glock’s Dream Boy/Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, as well as Cennin/Madeleine Witte-Vrees/NED, Blue Hors Veneziano/Laura Kristine Thorup/DEN and the newly crowned Louisdor Prize winner Viva Gold OLD/Isabell Werth.

The dam, Elite, pref, prest, prok, sport(dr) Tolivia, was named champion mare in the Netherlands at the age of three and placed in M* dressage. Vitali’s full brother My Vitality is a Danish premium stallion, won gold at the Danish Championships for four-year-old dressage horses in 2021 and finished eighth in the World Championship final for six-year-old dressage horses in 2023 under Eric Guardia Martinez/ESP. In 2024, he placed with Cathrine Rasmussen/NOR in the small final at the World Championships for young dressage horses for seven-year-olds. The full brother One Two Three was also licensed (premium stallion KWPN). The half-sister Dalivia (by Spielberg TN) placed in the international junior tour.

The dam’s sire D-Day was premium stallion in Oldenburg in 1994 and winner of his stallion performance test in Neustadt/D in 1996. In sport, he won the Small Tour. In terms of breeding, he left his mark mainly in the Netherlands and Sweden.

The great-grandfather Argus was successful in both dressage and jumping up to Grand Prix and Aktion J, who followed in the fourth generation, was one of the most successful dressage stallions of his generation with Gyula Dallos/HUN.
