See the section for Don Frederico for information on Donnerhall and Consul, sire and damsire of Don Vino.
Don Vino is a big-shaped and correct riding horse type, with good frame and height. His sire and dam passed on their outstanding dressage qualities to this young stallion, and thus the high expectations were fully met in all respects of this sire during the stallion performance test where he achieved above average marks for all phases of the dressage test. This surely suggests a high rate of pre-potency in Don Vino for dressage.
At his performance test Don Vino scored 8 for character, 8 for temperament, 8 for trainability, 8 for conformation, 6.22 for jumping, 8 for rideability, 7.5 for walk, 7.33 for trot, and 7.16 for canter. He is a noble stallion with three very good basic gaits. In 2002 Don Vino presented an excellent premiere of foals, from which several foals were admitted to the Hanoverian foal auctions. Two of his offspring are successfully competing at advanced level and his son Dandolo presented captivating performances in the dressage arena at the Warendorf Federal Championships.
He has 4 licensed sons, 25 state premium mares, and 29 auction horses.
