Finest – Olympic talent straight from the inaugural year!

In 2024, Finest caused a sensation. From his very first foal crop, he sired Frizzantino, a participant in the Paris Olympic Games . Ridden by Borja Carrascosa for Spain, Frizzantino achieved a score of over 70% at just eight years old. This underscores Finest’s exceptional significance as a sire of numerous successful sport horses. At just eight years old, 30 of his offspring had already achieved one or more successes up to the advanced (S) level.
Finest stands out as an exceptional sire, possessing all the qualities of a modern sport horse. His captivating charm, unmistakable character, and three gaits, all of which are equally outstanding, have undoubtedly been passed on to his progeny. In recent years, Finest’s foals and riding horses have commanded top prices at Germany’s most prestigious auctions, while his daughters have impressed at events such as the Rastede Brilliantring and the Von der Decken Show in Verden. He owns 18 approved and recognized sons .

At the 2021 Hanoverian Championships in Verden, three of the six finalists were sired by Finest and made a lasting impression. No fewer than six of his offspring competed at the Bundeschampionat (German National Championships) for six-year-old dressage horses in Warendorf. Fürst Finest, by Finest out of a Hotline mare, won the final qualifier with a score of 9.0, and his half-brother, Famous K, by Finest out of a Londonderry mare, then won the bronze medal in the final for six-year-old dressage horses.

This exemplary breeding career is also reflected in his sporting achievements. At his licensing in Verden, he was the undisputed crowd favorite and was awarded premium stallion status. Following his 30-day test in Münster (breeding value of 138 points), Finest continued to develop exceptionally well and, at the age of four, became a serial winner in dressage horse tests with scores as high as 9.0. Undefeated in all his starts to date, he also won his first qualifier for the Bundeschampionat (German National Championships) for five-year-old dressage horses in 2016. Finest received the third-highest score of all participants in his age group who qualified for the Bundeschampionat. His sire, Fürstenball, is already setting milestones at a young age – he himself was the shining champion stallion of his licensing, performance test winner, Bundeschampion of five-year-old dressage horses, and a highly placed competitor at the World Championships for six-year-old dressage horses. The dam, Wie Princess, from the Trakehner family of Schwindlerin, produced two licensed premium stallions and a top-class state premium mare with her first three foals. Her damsire, Wie Weltmeyer, himself distinguished himself as an Olympic competitor. And Prince Thatch is also fondly remembered as the sire of Piccolini, the World Championship team gold medalist ridden by Klaus Husenbeth. This dam line has already produced over 30 licensed stallions, numerous elite mares, and countless premium foals.

Finest does not possess a red factor and is therefore homozygous dark in its inheritance (no foxes).
