Half-brother to Nations Cup winner Casquo Blue

Successful in 1.55 m show jumping

Meganus PS himself won the opening class for the Sires of the World show jumping in Lanaken/BEL under Alexa Stais/CYP, was previously unbeatable in the final of the Medium Tour in Kronenberg and was also able to enter his name in the rankings of the jumping competitions up to 1.55 metres in Martofte/DEN, Arezzo/ITA, Gorla Mionore/ITA and Kronenberg/NED. Prior to that, he was successful under Eiken Sato/JPN at the WBFSH Studbooks Jumping Global Champions Trophy, in the International Youngster Tour, at the World Championships for Show Jumpers, the German Championships for Seven-Year-olds and the Deister Championships. He first stepped into the limelight under Patrick Stühlmeyer with serial victories in show jumping competitions, including the double triumph at the prestigious Deister Championships (9.2), winning the qualifying competition at the German Championships for six-year-olds (8.8) and victories in the two qualifying competitions at the German Championships for five-year-olds (9.2 and 9.5 respectively).

The foals of Meganus PS impress with their wiry, powerful presentation and strong hindquarters. At the German Foal Championships in Lienen, his daughter won silver.

The sire Messenger is himself a son of the individual and team bronze medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens/GRE, World Cup sixth in 2004 in Milan/ITA and double European Champion 2005 in San Patrignano/ITA, Montender/Marco Kutscher. He already received a 10 for his jumping talent at his stallion performance test. With Florian Meyer zu Hartum, Messenger advanced to Warendorf Vice Champion of seven-year-old show jumpers in 2014, after he had already placed in the finals of the German Championships. He also recorded his first international successes. In 2015 and 2016, he won the CSI3* Championships in Redefin with various riders. With Philip Rüping, he finished second in the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden in 2017 and placed ahead in Calgary/CAN, Arezzo/ITA and again Redefin. Messenger was then based in the USA. His eldest offspring are successful up to 1.60 metre show jumping, including the licensed Mangoon/Lorenzo De Luca/ITA, Dessenger/Philipe Rozier/FRA, Marilyn/Daniel Bluman/ISR, Miss Aragona PS/William Whitaker/GBR and Mahony/Philipp Schulze Topphoff.

The dam Whizz Kid bred with Chacco-Blue produced numerous top horses. Casquo Blue/Harry Charles/GBR won the Nations Cup in Hickstead/GBR, was second in the Global Champions Tour stage of Monte Carlo/MON, third in the Aachen Nations Cup and took part in the European Championships in Milan/ITA after being part of Sweden’s fourth-placed European Championship team with Douglas Lindelöw in 2021. H5 Chaganus/Eduardo Pereira de Menezes/BRA competed in 1.60 metre show jumping and won in Mexico City/MEX. Chataga/Cassio Rivetti/UKR, who became the dam of Michael Jung’s 1.50 metre jumper Chasandra (by Sandro Boy), and Chacco’s Kid PS/Dr. Zoltán Lázár/HUN can boast successes in 1.60 and 1.50 metre courses respectively. The messenger full brothers Messi’s Whizz Kid PS/Eduardo Pereira de Menezes/BRA and Electrico/Eleanor Kunsman/USA are placed in 1.60 and 1.55 metre competitions respectively. Centhaga (by Centadel), the dam of the two 1.50 metre show jumpers Concenthaga/Ryan Genn/USA and Conthargo PS/Felix Haßmann, descended from Conthargos, also comes from Whizz Kid.

Carthago in the second generation took part in the Olympic Games in Atlanta/USA and Sydney/AUS with Jos Lansink/BEL. He also won the Nations Cups of Aachen, Rotterdam/NED and La Baule/FRA and is also considered one of the most influential sons of Capitol I in terms of breeding.

The granddam Gastona produced the licensed Chacgrano (by Chacco-Blue; 1.60 m-Spr.)/Patrick Stühlmeyer as well as the 1.60 metre jumpers Calasko Z (by Calvaro Z)/Manuel Sanderos/MEX and Colasko (by Colman)/Nicolas Pizarro/MEX.

In third and fourth place in the pedigree, Grannus and Wohlgemuth are further performance guarantors.
