The Dimaggios have reached the top tier of dressage: In 2014, Half Moon Delphi, ridden by Michael Eilberg, became Vice World Champion in Caen, France, and fourth in the Nations Cup in Aachen with the British team, having already won team bronze at the 2013 European Championships in Herning, Denmark. Headmore Delegate is also successful in international Grand Prix competitions. At the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in Verden, the licensed Auheim’s Del Magico won silver for Austria in the six-year-old dressage horse category. Fünf Sterne placed in the five-year-old dressage horse category final at the Bundeschampionat.

Dimaggio finished fourth at the 1999 Bundeschampionat, became World Champion of five-year-old dressage horses in Arnhem, NED, in 2000, and subsequently won up to Intermediate I level. From his first breeding assignment in Great Britain, he produced the 2002 British Warmblood Champion and the British Sporthorse Champion. Upon his return, Dimaggio made a perfect debut as a sire. From his debut crop in Germany, all three young stallions presented were licensed, all of which also sold as foals at elite auctions (some at top prices). The number of his licensed sons has since risen to almost 20, including FS Demirel, a finalist at the Bundeschampionat dressage horse championships and winner up to Intermediate I level.

In 2012, Dimaggio’s daughter Dimma became the Westphalian Champion Mare in Münster-Handorf, having already won bronze at the German Elite Mare Championships in Lienen. Sophie trotted to the title of 1st Reserve Champion in Rastede in 2010. Woodlander Farouche, the two-time record-breaking World Champion of young dressage horses, is also out of a Dimaggio dam. In 2006, a Dimaggio daughter won silver at the German Foal Championships in Lienen.

Of the 111 Dimaggio offspring with recent tournament successes, 30 have achieved success in dressage class S. The list includes the licensed FS Demirel/Jana Freund, the also licensed auction price record holder Di Magic OLD/Bernadette Brune, Diamigo OLD/Helen Langehanenberg, the multiple St. Georges winner CM’s Diabolito, as well as the seventh-place finisher in the German Singles Championship, Double Delight, and Darco out of the European Championship gold-winning four-in-hand of Ysbrand Chardon/NED.

Her sire, Don Primero, was the 1990 Federal Champion and subsequently competed highly successfully in Grand Prix dressage under Karin Rehbein. He produced two Federal Champions in 2003, Dynamico and Devils Bride. His daughter, Cherie, won the World Championship for six-year-old dressage horses and then the Nuremberg Burg Cup.

His dam, Winnipeg, won a first prize at the Sottrum club show in 1991 and produced Werther’s Echte (by Werther), who competed up to advanced level in dressage. His dam’s sire, World Cup I, is a winner of his stallion performance test (HLP), a two-time DLG Reserve Champion Stallion, and the 1997 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year.

In the third generation is the half-blood Lindberg (by Der Löwe xx).
