Bergamon’s sire Baryshnikov has already presented imposing crops of foals true to the type of his ancestors Bolero and Absatz. He was winner of his performance test in dressage. His maternal bloodline produced seven state premium mares in direct sequence, he himself was state riding horse champion of Hanover, and following successful dressage trials, he easily went on to the intermediate and advanced levels in which he had wins and high placements. He was successful up to Intermediare 1 and trained to Grand Prix.
His dam Paola produced many licensed sons and state premium mares amongst who was the unforgettable moving queen Primavera who was the diamond ring and Bundes Champion in 1992. Bergamon is the direct half-brother of Donnerklang A. Paola is full-sister of the prime genetic transmitter Pik Bube 1 and Pik Bube 11. The maternal line based on the phenomenal competition mare Daniela 3, who is also known as Sohlenfurstin, brought forth the leading competition horses Prinz Charming, Marathon 20, and stallions Donnerschlag, Ragazzo, Wall Street, Don Davignon, Werbefunk and Raphanus.
Bergamon absolved his stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse in 1997 at the top of his class. He has won a number of conformation show classes and won at the 1998 Elmloh Riding Horse Championship as well as participating in the Federal Championships in both 1998 and 1999. He has now won several dressage competitions with scores up to 8.7. Meanwhile he has been promoted up to advanced class dressage.
In his first year of siring in 1998 (20 mares) Bergamon presented the winning foal of the Hemmoor foal show (out of a mare by Matcho AA-Pik Konig). He also presented a candidate for the Vechta elite foal auction in May 1998. Two of his first year went on to become licensed stallions in Hanover – a very good start for a young stallion. In 2000 his son Belfast was the first of his progeny to be approved and he was part of the premium lot of the Verden approval and sold to the United States for the sum of DM165,000.00. Two Bergamon sons placed in 2004 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses, Baroncelli (4th) in the 5yo and Bugatti Hilltop (12th) in the 6 yo. He is a big improver in his young stock.
He has (Han) 5 licensed sons, 9 state premium mares, and 23 auction horses.
